Close-up: Jamie Bradford, SKM and CILTA(WA)

Jamie BradfordJamie Bradford is the Chair of CILTA (WA) and Senior Associate with Sinclair Knight Merz. Jamie has over 30 years’ experience in transport and logistics, the past 20 years specifically working on logistics aspects including the strategising, planning, implementation and management of construction project supply chains for EPC projects.

Jamie was the recipient of CILTA’s National T&L Professional of the Year in 2012.  As the Lead Logistics Manager, Jamie observed bottlenecks in processes caused by the lack of coordination and collaboration between governmentCILTA_Logo_Sectional-WAal agencies and logistics/mining industry service providers in relation to the logistics task, particularly within the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Jamie’s initiative identified the potential to improve strategic supply chain management through improved collaboration for the benefit of the wider industry and local communities. The initiative revolves around potential benefits from an integrated approach to supply chain management and collaboration by several key players in WA logistics.

CILTA’s diverse membership comes from defence, government and industry. As CILTA (WA) Chair, Jamie’s focus is now on CILTA (WA)’s Regional Rollout which will bring the networking and professional development opportunities to regional logistics practitioners, giving them access to CILTA’s 4 pillars of INVOLVE, INFORM, RECOGNISE and DEVELOP. This initiative, encouraged and supported by the WA Dept. of Transport plus Industry and Chamber of Minerals and Energy will be released late in August, with a formal launch in Dampier this October.  WA_272x70
